Poultry Manure Dryer Manufacturer

See how we dry Poultry Manure

For operators comparing poultry manure dryer manufacturers or chicken litter dryer manufacturers, STRONGA builds FlowDrya lines that dry litter into a stable, transportable, higher-value product. We engineer each poultry litter drying plant to order at our Hertfordshire works, matched to your throughput and heat source.

FlowDrya poultry manure dryers are manufactured by STRONGA LTD, built to order in the UK as part of the FlowDrya continuous flow drying range, in production since 2012.

The stainless-steel FlowDrya poultry manure dryer reduces moisture content to below 12%, transforming wet manure into a stable, nutrient-concentrated organic bio-fertiliser that can be spread, bagged or pelleted.

Why Poultry Manure Needs Drying

Wet poultry manure is costly to dispose of and carries risks including nitrate leaching to groundwater, surface water pollution, pathogen spread, ammonia emissions and nutrient loss through volatilisation. Drying to below 12% moisture converts this liability into a stable, saleable bio-fertiliser: dried poultry manure at 70% dry matter contains around 32.0 kg/t nitrogen, 27.7 kg/t phosphate (P₂O₅) and 22.8 kg/t potassium (K₂O), roughly double the nutrient concentration of fresh manure at 25% dry matter (17.0 / 11.4 / 10.0 kg/t respectively).

How a FlowDrya Poultry Manure Plant Works

FlowDrya's triple-deck design and stainless-steel construction are built for poultry manure's corrosive, high-volume characteristics. The deep-cycle drying bed and PulseWave™ agitation ensure each load is thoroughly dried through the perforated drying floor, and an optional bio-carbon filter reduces ammonia emissions. Where possible, FlowDrya uses warm residual air from poultry houses as the drying heat source, cutting energy costs, and the intermittent stop-start operation uses 3–4X less electrical power than belt dryers.

From Waste to Organic Fertiliser Pellets

Drying manure to below 12% moisture allows the production of durable organic bio-fertiliser pellets, in line with heat treatment requirements of 70°C for one hour, opening a premium sales market for farms with no arable land to spread the fertiliser themselves. Because layer manure at 65% moisture weighs around 875 kg/m³, drying also cuts transport cost per tonne of nutrients delivered.

Poultry Manure Dryer Manufacturer FAQs

Who manufactures poultry manure dryers?

FlowDrya poultry manure dryers are manufactured by STRONGA LTD (Companies House 03974884), engineered to order in the UK. The FlowDrya product line has been in production since 2012.

How does a FlowDrya poultry manure drying plant work?

FlowDrya's triple-deck, stainless-steel design uses PulseWave™ agitation and a deep-cycle drying bed to thoroughly dry manure, with an optional bio-carbon filter to reduce ammonia emissions. Where possible, warm residual air from poultry houses is used as the heat source.

What moisture content does FlowDrya reach for poultry manure?

FlowDrya reduces poultry manure moisture to below 12%, transforming a difficult, costly waste product into a stable, nutrient-rich organic bio-fertiliser.

Can FlowDrya use heat from my poultry houses?

Yes. FlowDrya is designed to utilise warm residual air from poultry houses wherever possible, capturing otherwise wasted heat to reduce energy consumption and lower the operating costs of manure drying.

How does drying improve the value of poultry manure?

Removing water concentrates key nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphate and potassium – dried manure at 70% dry matter contains roughly double the nitrogen, phosphate and potassium of fresh manure at 25% dry matter. Dry manure is also lighter, easier to store and transport, and can be sold year-round.

What can dried poultry manure be used for?

The highest-value use for dried poultry manure is as a concentrated, slow-release organic fertiliser. It can be spread directly onto land, bagged for sale, or pelletised (with heat treatment of 70°C for 1 hour) into premium organic fertiliser pellets.

Do you install and commission poultry manure drying plants?

Yes. Every FlowDrya is fully assembled and factory-tested at Stronga's works before being disassembled for shipping. On-site installation is typically completed within days, followed by commissioning, operator training and a full 'hot test' before handover.
