The driver here is nutrient management: provincial rules limit how much nitrogen and phosphorus a farm may land-apply and press operators to curb ammonia loss, so raw wet litter is a liability that is hard to store and costly to move. Passing it through a stainless-steel FlowDrya, heated by the warm air already exhausted from the barns, drives off the water and yields a stable, low-odour, pelletisable fertilizer whose nutrients are concentrated and whose pathogen and leaching risks are largely gone.
